Worthless Checks
(The following instructions do
not apply to the payment of worthless checks through the District
Attorney's Office Worthless Check Program. Follow the instructions for making
payments as provided in the letter received from the District Attorney
and not the below instructions.)
A worthless check, less than
$2,000.00 may be disposed of without out requiring you to appear in
court. Your appearance in court may be waived upon your plea of guilty to
the offense and payment of the amount of the check indicated on your
summons and court costs established by law.
To pled guilty and waive your
appearance in court, place a copy of the summons in an envelope along
with the court costs. Click “Where
to Make Payments” to the left and follow the instruction for making
payments to the court.
