The Cumberland County Courthouse is located in downtown Fayetteville
approximately 4 blocks west of Highway 301 and Business I-95 in the city
block surrounded by Person
Street, E. Russell Street, Dick Street,
and Cool Springs Street.
The courthouse has public parking lots located in the front and
rear of the building. Overflow parking is located on the opposite side of
Person Street
from the courthouse. Entrance to
overflow parking is located in the intersection of Person Street and Bow Street
and is marked by signage.
The Cumberland County Detention Center is located in
downtown Fayetteville
approximately 5 blocks west of Highway 301 and Business I-95 on the
corner of E. Russell Street
and Gillespie Street. (Approximately
1 block from the courthouse.)
The following facilities are found in the detention center: Magistrate’s Office and jail. Detention Court and Marriage by
Magistrate Ceremonies are also located in this building. The building is open 24/7.
The Cumberland County Law Enforcement Center, containing the
Sheriff’s Office is located in the building adjacent to the
courthouse. Hours: 8am-5pm
