Court Hours

Jurors are instructed to report for jury service to room #339 on the third floor of the Cumberland County Courthouse at 8:30 a.m. to participate in the court orientation process. Court starts shortly thereafter and jurors should plan to be present until at least 5:00 p.m. each evening while serving on jury duty.

If this schedule should change or vary, you will be informed by court personnel, or in the recorded message. While you are in trial, you should always follow the instructions of the judge concerning the time you are to return to the courthouse.

Court will normally break for lunch between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.  The courthouse deli is located on the lower level (LL) of the courthouse and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the courthouse in historic downtown Fayetteville.
