North Carolina – General Court of Justice
court system is a General Court of Justice, and is a unified statewide and
state-operated system consisting of three divisions: the Appellate
Division, the Superior Court Division and the District Court Division.
The Appellate Division includes the Supreme Court and the
Court Appeals. Both are located in the state's capital, Raleigh, North Carolina,
and each of the District Court Divisions and Superior Court Divisions,
referred to as the trial courts, are located in judicial districts
throughout the state.
