Parking
Public Parking lots are located directly behind and in
front of the courthouse with additional “overflow” parking available in
the lot located across Person
Street from the courthouse. Please follow
the posted signs. Parking is free in all these locations.
Parking at the courthouse may be congested; therefore
allow sufficient time to locate a parking space.
Facilities
The Cumberland County Courthouse is a secured building
with protection provided by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Upon
entry into the courthouse, you will be required to pass through metal
detectors. You may also be scanned by a hand held metal detector. Items not allowed in the
courthouse should be left in your vehicle. Please understand that security cannot hold items for you.
Please note such items as mace,
scissors, knives and other similar items are not allowed in the

Restrooms are located within the Jury Assembly Room and in
all jury deliberations rooms (all restrooms are accessible to physically
challenged jurors).
A telephone for juror use is also located in the jury
assembly room.
An ATM machines is located on the lower level (LL) outside
the building at the Person
Street entrance.
Lunch is not provided; however, you may bring your lunch.
A refrigerator and microwave along with drink and snack machines are
located in the Jury Assembly Room.
Lunch is generally from 1:00 PM until 2:20 PM, unless you are
otherwise instructed by the Jury Coordinator or Judge.
A courthouse deli is located on lower level (LL) of the
building serving breakfast and lunch including soups, salads, and
sandwiches.
The courthouse is a nonsmoking environment. Smoking is not
permitted within 25 feet of the building.
If you experience
problems with other court facilities notify the bailiff in the courtroom
where you are assigned.

through the quaint historical district of downtown Fayetteville during your lunch hour
visiting shops and
numerous restaurants
within a short walk of the courthouse. You are free to
leave the courthouse during lunchtime only.
