Jury service may be postponed or
rescheduled for any reason to a later or more convenient time and
rescheduling jury service to a later time resolves scheduling conflicts. Some
jurors may need more time to make arrangements for child or elder care,
rearrange work schedules, or have vacation or personal plans, while
others may be undergoing or assisting family members with medical
problems or procedures. If your reason is job or school related consider
a slower business season, after military deployment or training, or when
school is not in session or during a break, or after a work or personal
problem has passed. You may be rescheduled one time only. Jury service is rescheduled for at
least a 2 month period and is rarely rescheduled for more than 6 months.
