AOC employee’s brother lost at Pentagon
Arlington, Va. - Defense Department officials and rescue workers have identified the body of Eric Cranford, brother of Brad Cranford, a Business Systems analyst with the Administrative Office of the Courts.

Eric Cranford, a US Navy Lieutenant and helicopter pilot, was assigned to Naval Operations at the Department of Defense when the hijacked airliner plowed into the building on September 11. Since that time he has been listed as “missing” in the wreckage.

Brad was notified on Thursday, September 20th that his brother’s body had been found and identified.

Eric, 32 years old, was born in Drexel, NC, in Burke County near Morganton. He graduated from NC State University in 1992 in the Naval ROTC program before attending helicopter flight school in Florida. Surviving is his wife Emily. The couple lived in Northern Virginia not far from the Pentagon.

No announcement has been made regarding funeral arrangements. Our hearts are with Brad and his family.
