    Plaintiff purports to appeal from an opinion and award of the Industrial Commission denying plaintiff's claim for additional compensation. The notice of appeal to this Court is not included in the record on appeal before us. We are required by Bailey v. State, 353 N.C. 142, 156, 540 S.E.2d 313, 322 (2000), to dismiss an appeal when the record on appeal does not contain the notice of appeal giving this Court jurisdiction. The appeal is therefore dismissed.     Dismissed.
