Legal Clinics

Please circle the clinic date you would like to attend prior to faxing or mailing the registration to the SelfServe Center.

The SelfServe Center offers clinics on the first and third Wednesday of every month on the topics of Absolute Divorce and Child Custody, Visitation and Support, respectively. The clinics are conducted by attorneys who will go over the form packets and answer GENERAL questions only.

Since these attorneys are NOT representing you, it is important not to ask questions specific to your case. Remember, the SelfServe Center is a public service of the 26th Judicial District and anyone---including your opposing party---can utilize its services.

The clinics are held in the Civil Courts Building 832 E. 4th Street, Suite 3561 from 12:30pm-1:30pm.

The Charlotte School of Law clinics are held at 2145 Suttle Ave. The Charlotte School of Law clinics are only held from January to April and September to December.

The clinics are free of charge but we do ask that you PRE-REGISTER by calling or submitting the registration form.

Free childcare will be provided by the staff and volunteers of the Court Clubhouse, up to a maximum of ten. If there are already ten children pre-registered, your child(ren) will be placed on a waiting list. You may contact the Larry King Clubhouse at 704-686-0285

For questions, please contact the SelfServe Center at SelfServ@nccourts.org
